As the the IE Premium and Prestige Observatory and its executive director Maria Eugenia Girón are announcing the 6th edition of the IE Awards for Sustainability in the Premium and Luxury Sectors, the video comes back on last year’s unique entrepreneurial projects awarded in Fashion, Cosmetics and Hospitality, honorable mentions for companies’ achievements in terms of sustainable luxury and the academic content of the summit including the presentation of the LOEWE case study.

On June 21st and 22nd , the IE Premium and Prestige Observatory will host the 6th edition of this academic summit on
sustainability and entrepreneurship in the premium and luxury sectors in the IE Shigeru Ban Paper pavilion. |

New this year: Smart Luxury Award
The 2016 edition introduces a new award for Smart Luxury, in addition to the
3 existing categories: Fashion, Cosmetics and Hospitality. This new award will also add to the academic content of the summit with a roundtable on synergies between technology and luxury.

The IE Honorary Award for
Luxury brand performance in sustainability and social responsibility
goes to
Pascale Mussard – Petit H
Petit H video |
Pascale Mussard joined Hermès in 1978 and developed a successful career within the maison as fabric buyer for the women ready to wear division, and then as creator and manager of the new displays department. Thanks to her unique sensitivity and knowledge of the brand and its fabrics she then became artistic director of Petit H. Petit H is a creative workshop created by the fashion house Hermès. The aim : to give a new life to the leather leftovers of Kelly bags, the colourful silk leftovers of the making of the famous carrés Hermès and all other high-quality raw materials used by the maison in its creative endeavours. With the association of the exquisite creative sense of designers and sharp talent of the craftsmen, all of these materials are being reassembled into new creative objects within this “atelier de ré-creation” in the words of Pascale Mussard, honoring the craftmanship tradition with a responsible look to the future. |
