Dear Sci-Tech Community,
IE School of Science and Technology continues to set the agenda of European tech entrepreneurship scalability by breaking barriers between academia and industry. This month we were front and center at South Summit in Madrid, leading the discussion at key events including the Deep Tech Forum, Scaling Up CleanTech and the mainstage panel “Conscious Innovation: For an EU Scale-up Nation,” where I was happy to talk with Carme Artigas, co-chair of the United Nations Advisory Council for Artificial Intelligence, and Eric Baum, founder of Splunk (acquired by Cisco) and more recently CEO of The Yope Foundation. Eric actually came earlier in the week to talk with our students and enjoyed as they pitched their tech venture ideas to him.
We have also been connecting globally with everyone from our corporate partners like Ripple and UBRI at Apex in Amsterdam to new academic partners like the Prague School of Economics & Business. We participated in the CIO Executive Council Summit, with Vice Dean Guillermo de Haro teaching a Workshop about Complex Problem Solving-- and exploring new courses for Top Tech Management through our partnership. And we were recognized by the Skills to Jobs Tech Alliance at the AWS Summit for our effort to reduce the digital knowledge gap thanks to our cloud technology training and our use of the AWS Academy in all our programs.
This month we completed the pilot of our amazing new MXT Program, which is a collaboration between our IE School of Science & Technology and IE Business School. Stay tuned for next steps in this important new concept for the future of education in Europe!
