case presentation @ world business forum: humanification

Within the framework of the World Business Forum, that took place in Madrid on the 3rd and 4th of October, IE Professor Cristina Cruz presented along with Maria Eugenia Girón, Executive Director of IE's Premium and Prestige Business Observatory, the case “Entrepreneural Journey of a Manager”, of which Professor Cruz is the author.

This year’s main topic was “Humanification”: Focusing on people, now and always. Richard Branson, Jonah Berger, Rachel Bostman, Stew Friedman, Tamara Erickson, Mauro Porcini, Mario Alonso Puig, Chris McChesney and Jesús Cochegrús were the main guest speakers.

Maria Eugenia Girón, Executive Director of IE's Premium and Prestige Business Observatory, was invited to join Ana de la Torre in the Fashion segment to talk about shopping tourism and the luxury sector.

new york times luxury conference in brussels

This November, Vanessa Friedman and top editors from The New York Times brought together leaders from myriad industries at the annual International Luxury Conference in Brussels, the European Union’s seat of power, against a global backdrop of dramatic political and economic change

The main message was exclusivity and inclusion new challenge for luxury industry. Among the speakers were Enrico Letta, Former Prime Minister of Italy, Dean, Paris School of International Affairs, Sciences Po, and President of the Jacques Delors Institute; Antoine Arnault, C.E.O. of  Berluti; Steve Shiffman, C.E.O. of Calvin Klein Inc.; or the fashion designer Stella McCartney.

a new case study to understand the challenges of creative companies

Last November 14th the 2nd Edition of the “Fuera de serie” Innovation & Design Awards  took place in Barcelona. Maria Eugenia Girón, Executive Director of IE's Premium and Prestige Business Observatory, was part of the jury. These awards recognize the effort and ‘know-how’ of Spanish companies and creators in this field.
